Fields can be reordered, given their own row or paired two to a row, and the type sizes adjusted — because a biodata that runs onto a second page reads as unedited, and fitting one page cleanly is most of the work.

Step 1: Choose a template
Templates differ in tone as much as in colour. A traditional ornamental border suits conservative families; a cleaner modern layout suits others. Pick for the audience, not for your own taste.

Step 2: Choose the god image and title
Select the god image or kuldaivat your family uses and set the heading text. Both appear at the top and set the register of the whole page.

Step 3: Fill the personal details
Work down the form; the preview updates as you type. Enter names in the script the receiving family reads. Double-check the date of birth, birth time and birth place — these are used for kundli matching and an error here wastes everyone's time.

Step 4: Fill the family details
Parents, siblings with marital status, mama's name and kuldaivat. Families read this section closely, so completeness matters more than brevity here.

Step 5: Add a photograph
Upload and crop to passport proportions. Use a recent, clear photo against a plain background. Adjust size and position with the sliders if the template frame needs it.

Fit it on one page. A biodata that spills over reads as unedited. Use the row pairing and font sliders rather than deleting information families expect to see.

Check the spelling of every name in Devanagari, including the mama's name and kuldaivat. These are the details that get noticed, and a misspelt family name is an awkward start.

Use a recent, clear photograph with a plain background. A group photo cropped down to one face is immediately obvious and does not help.

Verify birth time and place before sending. They are used for kundli matching, and a wrong entry sends the process down the wrong path entirely.

Keep the spelling consistent with the wedding invitation you will print later. Correcting a surname between biodata and invitation is avoidable and looks careless.

Watch the overflow warning. If it appears, the page is longer than the template and something will be cut in the output.
